About ME
I was born in India but later after my husband retired from the Navy as an Admiral, we moved to Canada where he was posted as India’s Ambassador. After visiting various countries across the world, I had the opportunity to meet many artists and saw a number of exhibitions. As an artist I found passion in painting and have explored various mediums, starting with computer-based art and eventually transitioning to oil painting.

I was inspired by a good friend Anjolie Ela Menon who is a world-famous artist. My preferred genres of realism and figurative art allow me to bring an unique perspective and views on the world to life through artwork. I try to express my thoughts, emotions,
and observations through my artistic creations. Art has the power to convey messages, evoke emotions, and spark conversations. Through art, I am able to communicate my views on the ever-changing world around us, both its beauty and its faults. My journey
as a naval spouse, led me to shoulder responsibilities towards the naval community, and later as my spouse rose in rank, I got deeply involved with a larger community residing in rural India and their traditional arts. This contributed immensely to my growth as an artist. Now I am living in the United States and enjoying my painting. For me, painting is meditation and it gives me a lot of tranquility.
